Catholic Again

I went to another retreat this past weekend and it was unbelievable! I didn't think it would be better than the first one, but it was. Unlike the first time, this time I played more of a role as a supporter.
This one boy, I'll call him "C" was about 17 years old. He refused to participate in the singing and other activities. When it was time to go to confession I noticed he didn't get in line. I encouraged him to go and told him that I had gone to this particular priest before and he was awesome. He told me that he didn't feel comfortable and he hadn't been in a long time. I told him not to worry this priest will help you. I asked him to get in line with me and he did. C began telling me that he actually didn't believe in religion and began telling me how he disagrees with how political it is. He expained that he is Athiest. I asked him again to go to confession and told him he might have a change of heart. C went into the confessional and was in there for almost 20 minutes. When he came out, he was teary eyed and went to me and gave me a hug. He told me that he felt a great weight off his chest. He thanked me and told me that the priest was great. What a blessing. I was overcome with emotions. But I couldn't help but be overly thankful for the priest that talked to him. Whatever it was that he told "C" it gave him the courage and faith to say, "I'm Catholic again". Wow.
